Clinical Psychologist & Neurodivergent Specialist

Mindful Journeys Psychology

ABOUT ME

With over 11 years of experience, I am a dedicated clinical psychologist passionate about supporting individuals on their journey towards better mental health. I specialise in adult mental health, trauma, neurodivergence, child development, and attachment difficulties, and I bring a compassionate, evidence-based approach to therapy, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.

I work with individuals of all ages, offering a safe and supportive space to explore complex emotions and experiences. My extensive experience in trauma-informed care helps clients understand and heal from past wounds, fostering resilience and emotional well-being. I also focus on neurodivergence, ensuring that those with ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental differences receive personalised support that respects their individuality.

In addition to trauma and neurodivergence, I have a deep understanding of child development and attachment theory. I work closely with children and families to address early-life challenges and strengthen emotional bonds. By empowering clients and their families, I strive to create positive, lasting changes that enhance overall quality of life.

Filling Out Form

Ages:

3-17

I can provide psychological support for children, young people and their parents. Most of my work in this area is informed by attachment theory alongside other Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles and functional analysis. I am experienced in supporting parents to work on any difficulties they may be having with their children's behaviour and exploring any underlying factors fuelling this.

I am DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) informed, meaning I work with families to explore emotional bonds and encourage connections.

Online counselling

Duration:

1 Hour

I provide consultations within systems that young people may come into contact with such as with school, health and social care organizations. This can be particularly helpful for children who have developmental differences such as autism and/or have experienced trauma. Adapting the environment around people who are struggling can sometimes be enough to achieve positive change. Difficulties can often be the result of the world in which people inhabit, rather than something within themselves. It can be extremely useful for intervention to focus not only on them but the systems they find themselves within.
